A Melissa Thing Co. Brand content and UGC video

Brand content and UGC video. Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Sarasota, and shipped anywhere.

I make the video people stop scrolling for. Then they go buy the thing.

Hi, I'm Melissa. Brands hire me to put their product in real hands, in real light, in a real Florida life, and to talk about it like a person instead of a billboard. You get content that looks like it belongs on a feed, because it does.

No package menu. Every project is quoted for what you actually need.

10K+

Combined audience. Instagram @a_melissa_thing leads it, with YouTube and TikTok behind it.

24 to 48 hrs

Usual delivery window once we shoot. Weekdays only, so you always know when it lands.

Local to global

Med spas and boutiques down the road, plus national and global brands who ship product to me instead of booking a visit.

Your rights, your price

Costs less when I post it and you co share it. Costs more when you want full rights to run it wherever you want.

The work

Sorted by what it does for you

Not by format. Format is my problem. Here is what each kind of video is actually for.

Builds trust

Product in my hands, on my body, on camera

Try on and review is my strongest performing format, and it is not close. People believe a person holding the thing far more than they believe a graphic of the thing. If you sell something that gets worn, used, applied, or opened, this is where your money goes furthest.

  • Melissa filming a vertical try on video wearing a white dress.

Try on content is the closest thing to letting someone hold your product through a screen. That's why it converts.

  • Melissa on camera holding up a clothing find for a vertical review video.

My review format is my highest performing content, full stop. I know exactly how to make a product the whole point of it.

  • Melissa presenting an item to camera in a vertical review style video.

Honest reaction, good lighting, no script voice. People can tell the difference in about two seconds.

Drives engagement

The one that gets saved and sent to a friend

This is the personality lane, and it is a business tool, not a diary. A brand attached to a video people actually forward gets carried into private conversations, which is where buying decisions really happen.

  • Melissa in a vertical video with a bold text overlay across the frame.

This is the reel people screenshot and send to a friend. That's the kind of attention a product needs.

  • Melissa in a humorous vertical video with a text overlay about date night.

Funny beats polished almost every time. If it makes someone laugh, they finish it, and finishing it is the whole game.

  • Melissa in a vertical video with a quote style text overlay.

People follow me for how I say things. Brands rent that voice, and it arrives already warmed up.

Shows product in real use

Your product out in an actual Florida day

Boats, beaches, sun, water, and a house being built on acreage. If your product belongs in any of that, I can shoot it where it actually gets used instead of on a folded towel in a studio.

  • Melissa on a boat wearing a hat, filmed vertically on the water.

On the water, in the sun, wearing the thing. That's a product shot nobody had to imagine.

  • Melissa scalloping in the Gulf, filmed vertically in the water.

Gulf Coast content that is genuinely of here. Sunscreen, swim, gear, and water brands, this is your lane.

  • Melissa at the beach in a vertical lifestyle video frame.

Vacation energy sells anything you can hold, wear, or drink. I already live where everyone else takes their week off.

  • Melissa's property with a pond and pets, filmed vertically.

Home, land, and pets on camera every week. Outdoor, pet, and home brands get a real setting, not a set.

Some of who I've worked with

A few names, not the whole list

  • Lakewood Ranch Med SpaLakewood Ranch, FL
  • Orangetheory FitnessLocal ambassador
  • TucannMatching couple's swimwear
  • Pretty Farm GirlSarasota skincare
  • QuellivLaser therapy, Sarasota
  • XSalonceLaser hair removal, Sarasota, FL
  • Weston Jon BoucherMenswear

These are the local ones people recognize. There are more beyond this list, including national and global brands who ship product to me and get finished content back without ever booking an in person visit. If you are not in Florida, that is not a problem. It is just a shipping label.

Ask me about your product

How it works

Three steps. No mystery.

  1. Tell me what you're selling

Send me the product, the audience you want to reach, and how you want to use the video. I come back with a quote for that specific project. Price moves with usage rights, so it costs less when I post it and you co share it from my account, and more when you want the full content handed over to run wherever you want.

  2. I shoot it

You either ship the product to me or I come to you if you're on the Gulf Coast. I handle concept, filming, talent, and edit. You do not need to write me a script, though if you have must say points, send them and I'll make them sound like a human said them.

  3. You get it in 24 to 48 hours

Finished vertical video, ready to post. That window is weekdays, because I don't work weekends and I'd rather tell you that up front than miss a date I promised you.

Payment so far has been a mix of paid projects, product and service trade, and small affiliate commissions. Tell me which one you're set up for and we'll figure it out.

Who I am

Now the part about me, since you scrolled this far

I was born and raised in Central Florida, spent fifteen years in Ohio, and have been back on the Gulf Coast since 2018. I live in the Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Sarasota corner of the map with my husband and our teenagers, and we're building a custom home on acreage called Ivory Stone Acres, which I film every week on YouTube.

On camera I'm bubbly and glam and I love roses and anything pink. My actual house is the opposite, dark green and navy and gold and marble with plants in every corner. Both of those are honestly me, and that range is exactly why I can sell a med spa treatment on Tuesday and a swimsuit on Thursday without either one feeling like a costume.

Before any of this, I spent sixteen years behind a chair as a hairstylist. I'm taking a break from the salon while we build a new one into the house, and it's a big part of why beauty, skincare, and med spa brands get someone on camera who actually knows the work.

I want you to walk away from my content feeling like it was creative, fun, interesting, and worth your time. And I want you to finish this page thinking there is nobody else you'd rather hand this to.

Let's book it

Tell me about your product and I'll tell you what I'd do with it

You don't need a brief, a budget range, or a plan. Send me the product and what you want out of it. I'll come back with a quote and an idea, usually within a business day.

  • Quoted per project. No package menu, no surprise line items.
  • Local shoots on the Gulf Coast, shipped product accepted anywhere.
  • Paid, trade, and affiliate arrangements have all worked before.
